Chelsea Fries

BME Doctoral Candidate, President of BME PhD Student Association, Duke Basketball Usher

Chelsea grew up on a horse ranch in Southern California where she learned a love for the outdoors and animals of all kinds. Looking to spread her wings from her west coast roots, she took off to Chicago to study Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. After getting her dose of the big city, Chelsea is thrilled to live in Durham where she can run through the forest and swim in the river with her dog Samwise (yes, like Gamgee). When not spending time outdoors, Chelsea loves to cook and visit local coffee shops.
